Lord Kitchens recently completed a full kitchen renovation for a client at her home in Chesterfield. This project involved updating a kitchen we originally installed 17 years ago, giving it a fresh, modern look with improved layout and functionality.
Our client wanted to modernise her kitchen and dining area, removing outdated finishes and improving the flow of the space. At the design stage, her key requirements included:
Removing a small internal wall
Relocating the breakfast bar to the opposite side of the room
Plain walls with an upstand instead of tiled walls
Grey cabinetry with all appliances fully integrated
An induction hob with built-in extractor
Amtico LVT flooring throughout the kitchen and dining area
The aim was to create a clean, contemporary kitchen that felt open, practical, and easy to maintain.
We designed and installed a bespoke kitchen using the Salarno foil-wrapped range, carefully planning the new layout to maximise space and usability.
The project included:
Full removal and disposal of the old kitchen and appliances
New electrics for additional sockets, appliances, downlights and under-cabinet lighting
Plastering of all walls and ceilings
Plumbing for sink, washing machine and dishwasher
Installation of laminate worktops with matching upstand
Fully integrated Prima appliances
Amtico LVT flooring and new skirting boards
Vertical designer radiator
Full decoration as an added service
The finished kitchen exceeded expectations. The new layout, colour choices and materials worked perfectly together, creating a modern, bright space that flows seamlessly into the dining area.
