Lord Kitchens recently completed a full kitchen renovation for our customer at their home in Matlock, Derbyshire. This project involved a complete redesign and installation, transforming an outdated kitchen into a beautiful, practical space finished to the highest standard.
The clients wanted to replace their existing kitchen with something timeless, elegant, and better suited to their home. At the design stage, they were clear about the key features they wanted to include:
Shaker-style cabinetry in a sage green finish
Quartz worktops for durability and style
A traditional Belfast sink
Integrated Bosch appliances
LVT flooring running seamlessly through the kitchen and into the hallway
The goal was to create a cohesive, high-quality kitchen that flowed naturally into the rest of the home.
We designed a bespoke kitchen using the Caldaro painted range, carefully planned to maximise space and functionality while maintaining a classic shaker aesthetic.
Once the old kitchen was removed, we carried out all required preparation works, including plumbing alterations, first-fix electrics, and full plastering of the room. After allowing time for drying, our team began the kitchen installation.
The project included:
Full kitchen rip-out and waste removal
New electrics for appliances, sockets, switches, downlights and under-cabinet lighting
Quartz worktops with two undermount sinks
New LVT flooring installed throughout the kitchen and hallway
Installation of a plinth heater and column radiator beneath the breakfast bar
Every stage was carefully coordinated to ensure a smooth, efficient installation.
The finished kitchen exceeded the clients’ expectations. The layout worked perfectly within the space, and the combination of sage shaker cabinetry, quartz worktops and flowing LVT flooring created a stylish yet practical result.
